Scam company
Aimee Dovaston is the managing director of this company. She steals people's money and goes off on holidays - see her facebook page!
Her and her husband Roy have now set up another company called Utterly Personal.
I feel they will do the same,ie take peoples money and not send out orders!
They need to be stopped.
I have reported them to Trading Standards.

BRIDES - PLEASE AVOID FOR YOUR OWN STRESS LEVELS
TOTAL SCAM

I recommend all consumers avoid this company at all costs.

I placed an order for goods for my wedding back in April. I started chasing the company 14 days after receiving the automated email that the goods had been dispatched. I could not get a response from emails and the phone is either out of order or stuck in an automated loop, so I contacted their Facebook page. I started receiving sporadic responses to my queries – the order was in the post, they’d contact the Royal Mail to chase (despite not having sent the order tracked), they’d send me another order out etc.

Eventually I gave up, cancelled the order and requested a refund. The statutory 30 days have passed and obviously my refund has never been received. They have long since stopped responding to attempts at communication.

I spoke to the Citizen’s Advice Bureau who recommended I send my complaint to the company, Recorded Delivery, and state the Distance Selling Regulations 30 days policy for refunds. After a little bit of digging on the internet I found a postal address and did as they suggested. I tracked the letter so I know it was signed for by the addressee, and yet I received no response at all. Incidentally, it is also in breach of Distance Selling Regulations not to publish a mailing address on a website where money is being paid in lieu of goods.

I have since been in contact with my bank who are processing the dispute and I’m waiting to hear whether I get my money back via that avenue. However I have passed the information on to the Office of Fair Trading and local Trading Standards. I have also pulled together the full portfolio of evidence to send to BBC’s Watchdog. If all else fails, I have a friend who is a lawyer who recommended small claims court.

All of this has been an enormous pain, at a time when I’m planning my wedding and would like everything to be as stress free as possible. I’m disgusted with this company – they are dishonest, disrespectful and fraudulent. Stealing money is an offence and unfortunately that is what they have done on this occasion, and by the reviews more occasions beside. I STRONGLY recommend avoiding them.
