| Nice service |   | | The staff at Get 'n' hitched were very friendly and attentive, I had a few problems; the first being I am a size 18+ and I did not feel they had a good supply of larger sized wedding dresses to try. I went in with a few pictures of dresses I liked but was told that I could only order these and pay for them, there was not anything in my size in the shop (only 8-12) like this style that I could try on. The assistant did try to help but I felt stock was slightly limited for me. The sales assistant brought out this dress which she said would be the ideal style for me, but I couldn't help but think she only had this style in my size so encouraged me to go for this one. The dress was nice and I liked it but it wasn't the style I was comfortable with as it was strapless. I went with this one as it looked nice on it fitted well and she said the top of the dress would not be an issue because I am bigger busted as it was boned. The dress was ordered in a size up as the assistant said it's better to take the dress in if I lose weight, and the dress I was trying on was slightly too small, I went with her expert suggestion. I did lose weight and the dress had to be taken in 2 sizes.....the dress on my wedding day I felt did not fit correctly :( the top kept falling down and it just did not sit right, I was adjusting it all day! so overall the shop was very helpful, although I felt stock was limited for my choice and size but the thing I was most unhappy with was the alterations....the dress really did not seem to fit me correctly I think the size ordered was far too big and then they could not alter the dress to fit me correctly or maybe just that the dress was badly altered....not sure! | | Kate Bradley - 29/07/2010 |
